Lisa Ruggles, Senior Vice President, Global Operations, joined CoStar Group in 1999. Mrs. Ruggles launched CoStar’s research coverage throughout the United States, facilitating the company’s national expansion, as well as its expansion into the United Kingdom.

Having earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Mrs. Ruggles brings a creative approach to business and problem solving. Among her many accomplishments at CoStar Group, Mrs. Ruggles introduced the Toronto-based Research Center serving CoStar's Canadian clients and helped launch the collection of commercial real estate data in Madrid, Spain in 2016. In 2018, she expanded CoStar’s news offering with the addition of 30 reporters who deliver breaking news on national and local commercial real estate happenings across North America and Europe. Rounding out her 1,300-person organization is a team of market analysts and economists who create analytic series and forecasts and write narratives on market performance.

In 2014, Mrs. Ruggles introduced CoStar’s aerial research plane in order to expedite the collection of high-quality images of new construction. She also created the largest database of virtual walk-through videos of commercial real estate. Mrs. Ruggles’ most recent accomplishment is having established CoStar's Research and Operations Headquarters in Richmond, Virginia, which currently employs 1,000 people.
